Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)

Under the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2013, retailers of electrical and electronic equipment must help customers recycle their old items. Electrical items marked with the crossed-out wheelie bin symbol must not be put in your household bin.

Our free take-back service: when you buy a new electrical or electronic item from us, you can return an old item of the same type and that did the same job (like-for-like) to us free of charge within 28 days of receiving your new item. Email contact@super-savers.co.uk with your order number and we will tell you how to return it. You pay the cost of sending the old item to us.

You can also recycle old electrical items free of charge at your local household waste recycling centre. Find your nearest one at recycleyourelectricals.org.uk or recyclenow.com.

Electrical items can contain hazardous substances. Recycling them properly protects the environment and human health and recovers valuable materials.

Waste batteries

Batteries must not be thrown away with household rubbish. Used portable batteries can be taken to battery collection points in most supermarkets and shops that sell batteries, and to local recycling centres. If you would like to return portable waste batteries to us, email us first and we will take them back free of charge (you pay the postage). Please tape over the terminals of lithium batteries before recycling them to prevent fires.
